The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novikov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mir on the side of the head.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.

Novikov gets caught flat footed, as Mir shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mir stands up and waves to Novikov to follow him.

Coleman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Hulk Hogin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Coleman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hogin sprawls well initially but Coleman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Coleman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hogin defends it well.

Overdose drops back looking for a leg! Shrew is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shrew manages to kick Overdose off! Overdose jumps back into Shrew's guard.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Samurai moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Breaker! Samurai continues to tee off on Breaker, landing with a left and a right! Samurai connects with a right hand that leaves Breaker sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Samurai!
