Hogan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Velasquez avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hogan.
The strikes coming from Hogan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Velasquez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hogan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Velasquez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hogan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Velasquez is trying to escape and Hogan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Velasquez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hogan! Very nice indeed!

Kostic slaps away a takedown attempt from Tavares, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tavares shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kostic sprawls well. Kostic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tavares gets slowly back to his feet.

Tavares is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tavares hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Fernado Tavares decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
