A nice leg kick lands there from Hunt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doberman throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice jab there from Doberman.
It looks like Alistair Overeem has been cut.
Overeem tries for a takedown but Doberman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Doberman leaves Overeem with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pvt. Duane Doberman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alistair Overeem.
Doberman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Overeem shoots in for a double leg but Doberman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Doberman stuns Overeem with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Doberman connects with a body shot that sends Overeem's belly button to the back.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Doberman.
Alistair Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Overeem avoids a punch combination nicely.
Overeem walks forward, straight into a front kick from Doberman.

Doberman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Overeem.

Doberman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Doberman misses with a series of wild punches.

Overeem uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doberman.
An inside leg kick lands from Doberman.
Overeem takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Doberman digs a good body shot into Overeem's ribs.

Oooooh!!! Doberman has knocked Overeem down with a huge combo! Doberman steps away and waves a wobbly Overeem back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Doberman fakes the leg kick and cracks Overeem in the body.

Doberman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Overeem. That did some damage!
Doberman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Doberman, right into the meat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Overeem takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Doberman listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Alistair Overeem's cut even more.

Doberman connects with a body shot.
Overeem is trying desperately to land a takedown but Doberman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Overeem.
Doberman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Doberman lands a nice looking body shot.
Doberman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Overeem sprawling to the canvas! Overeem rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Doberman finish him?!
Overeem is rocked!
Overeem is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Doberman doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Overeem crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Overeem's bad books for that mishap!
