Glutamine throws a wild hook but If just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Glutamine gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - If raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adamus Kapalka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Miyaichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adamus Kapalka had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ryo Miyaichi enters the cage!

Miyaichi is staying active underneath Kapalka, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Miyaichi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Miyaichi looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kapalka is defending well. Miyaichi quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kapalka has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Miyaichi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Santiago. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Thompson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santiago.
Thompson thows a body shot but no joy.
Mike Thompson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice leg kick lands there from Thompson.
Santiago takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Mike Thompson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Santiago sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thompson feints and then cracks Santiago's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santiago down.
Thompson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Santiago has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Thompson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Thompson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santiago.

Thompson moves into range and clinches up with Santiago.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Maeda throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maeda is in Jones's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
