The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shamrock has Mi up against the cage in a clinch.

Shamrock is trying to trip Mi. He has hold of a leg but Mi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Shamrock persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shamrock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mi kicks Shamrock off and gets to his feet.
Mi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shamrock.

Mi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamrock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shamrock sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Mi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shamrock has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shamrock is just riding it out for now. Mi eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sedgewick gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sedgewick tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Cooperman is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sedgewick buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sedgewick!! Sedgewick is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Cooperman throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Skank works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Skank rushes Borgia with punches - Borgia moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Borgia goes down! Skank follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
