Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Cliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiro Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cliff might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wanksta by 50 Cent. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curtis Cliff!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiro Takeshi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi fails to land the takedown.
Cliff misses the jab.
Cliff moves out of range of the body kick.
Cliff misses with a straight left.
Takeshi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cliff keeps the fight on the outside.
A big right from Cliff misses.
Cliff blocks a jab.
Curtis Cliff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cliff looks to land a right hand but Takeshi moved out of range.
Cliff misses with a hook

and Takeshi counters with a takedown into side control.
Cliff is pushing Takeshi's head away, looking to escape. Takeshi manages to hold on to the position though.
Cliff is trying to escape the position but Takeshi is controlling the position.
Takeshi is trying to move to mount but Cliff reverses beautifully and ends up in Takeshi's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takeshi has his feet on Cliff's thighs here. He's pushed Cliff off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cliff screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rogers counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Edwards is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Rogers feints a jab promting Edwards to slip. Rogers then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Edwards slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Lucky Edwards has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Edwards throws a sloppy head kick and Rogers moves out of range easily.
Rogers cracks a nice hook into Edwards's ribs.
Rogers connects with an inside leg kick.
Edwards misses with a double jab
and Rogers counters with a nice uppercut.
Edwards is breathing heavily.
Edwards falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rogers counters with a slapping leg kick.

Rogers scores with a hook to the body. Edwards takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Edwards sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Edwards back to the cage. Rogers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Rogers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Edwards stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rogers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Rogers lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Rogers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Rogers lands with a hook. Edwards tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rogers throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Edwards's head.
Rogers looks to land a combination. Edwards sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rogers lands with a nice body punch.

Oooooh!!! Rogers has knocked Edwards down with a huge combo! Rogers steps away and waves a wobbly Edwards back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rogers fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Edwards has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rogers is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Edwards rather than just go for the knockout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rogers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Edwards's head backwards.

Rogers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rogers wants it to stay on the feet.
Rogers lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Rogers lands a left and a right that send Edwards crashing to the mat, dazed. Rogers thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Edwards's jaw. Edwards's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rogers does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

The Dragon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Chechen is defending well.
Chechen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
The Dragon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chechen pulls his leg out and moves away.
The Dragon throws a head kick that misses.

The Dragon closes the distance and pushes Chechen back into the cage.
Chechen tries to land a knee to the head but The Dragon blocks with his arms.

Chechen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chechen manages to end up in side control.
Chechen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
You can see the frustration on The Dragon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The Dragon is looking to reverse the position.
Chechen tries to stand but The Dragon is controlling his head.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Chechen stands up and beckons The Dragon to his feet.
Chechen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chechen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The Dragon moves into the clinch.

Chechen stops a takedown attempt from The Dragon.
Russel Chechen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chun The Dragon.
The Dragon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chechen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Russel Chechen will probably get the nod.

The Dragon is trying to drag Chechen to the mat but Chechen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chechen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. The Dragon can't fight it off and eventually Chechen manages to take the fight to the floor. The Dragon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as The Dragon holds on and takes a little breather.

The Dragon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chechen wants to stand and escape but instead The Dragon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Russel Chechen wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Chechen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches The Dragon napping and manages to drive through into side control!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
