The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Crespo.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chulu is trying to work for a sweep but Crespo has mounted him!

Zeller misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Daniel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zeller.
Daniel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zeller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Daniel on the side of the head.
Zeller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Daniel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zeller.
Daniel tries to clinch but Zeller moves out of range.
Zeller throws a combination that misses
letting Daniel counter with a right hand.

Zeller throws a looping overhand right but Daniel ducks down to avoid it.

Horrible takedown by Daniel or perhaps it was just good defense by Zeller which made him look bad.
Cody Zeller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Daniel tries to pull guard but Zeller holds him up against the cage and eventually Daniel drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zeller wants to break the clinch but can't.

Zeller lands with a nice combination. Daniel backs away looking to recover.

Zeller might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Daniel doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zeller counters with a right hand to the body.

enabling Daniel to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice straight punches there by Zeller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zeller.

Daniel takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Daniel thows a body shot but no joy.
Daniel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A jab from Zeller misses.
Daniel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Zeller connects with a right hand. Daniel shakes it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zeller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zeller misses with a hook. Daniel ducked under it nicely.
Daniel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Zeller scores with a nice right hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Daniel takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Daniel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zeller throws out the jab.
Oh Daniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zeller throws a big shot that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cody Zeller dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Zeller throws out a loose jab but Daniel uses good head movement to avoid it.
Daniel seems to have got his legs back now.
Daniel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Decent striking displayed by Zeller there.
Daniel avoids the body shot from Zeller.
Daniel moves in looking to clinch but Zeller pushes him off.

Zeller throws a jab but it's blocked by Daniel.

Oooooh!!! Zeller has knocked Daniel down with a huge combo! Zeller steps away and waves a wobbly Daniel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zeller throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Daniel gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Zeller gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Daniel is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Romero cracks James with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Romero pounces like a tiger and cracks James with a vicious hook! James is down but not out! Romero follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Dat Sik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sik is defended easily by Kyle.
David Kyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dat Sik.
Kyle lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kyle drops Sik with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Sik! Kyle dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
