The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie instigates a clinch.

Gracie gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Pounder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pounder had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
Pounder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Pounder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pounder wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pounder keeps working.

Pounder is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

Pounder bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

After the fight, GymBitch Gracie was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
