The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manuel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Krush had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manuel defends it easily.

Krush is looking for a triangle but Manuel pushes his legs off easily.
Manuel stands up over Krush, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Krush has his feet on Manuel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Krush tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Manuel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Krishnanuevo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Krishnanuevo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trash circles away.

Texas Trash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Redding swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
