Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Powers might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Californication. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Powers wants to slow Tamad down by chopping away at his legs.
Tamad lands a jab to Powers's midsection.
Tamad throws a quick inside leg kick.
Tamad tests Powers's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Jimmy Powers has been cut.
Powers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tamad tries to avoid it but Powers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tamad to the ground. Tamad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice straight punches there by Tamad. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tamad.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tamad throws a low kick but Powers moves out of range easily.
Powers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A bone on bone clash there as Tamad blocks the leg kick.
Tamad swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tamad has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Tamad lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Powers at a distance.
Oh Powers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Powers is breathing heavily.
Powers throws a low kick but Tamad avoids it.
Tamad drops Powers with a naaaaasty hook - Powers is in real trouble here! Tamad dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
