Thompson tries to land a front kick but Pulkkinen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Thompson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pulkkinen counters with a right hand to the body.
Pulkkinen connects with an inside leg kick.

and Pulkkinen counters quickly with a head kick that drops Thompson to the mat! The referee starts the count at 3 - will Thompson be able to get back to his feet in time? 4,5,6, he's up. He looks OK so we'll continue the action!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
