The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Novac looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Novac in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Novac got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shinomori has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Novac has managed to get both his arms back between Shinomori's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shinomori had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Novac defends it easily.
Novac stands up over Shinomori, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Shinomori working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Novac doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Shinomori is tightening it up a little... Novac has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Novac reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Novac taps out! Nice BJJ there by Shinomori!

Shinjo Shinomori really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that 5th Round Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
