The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac misses with a series of wild punches.
Mac moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
No joy there for Mac, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from West. No joy for Mac on that attempt.

West moves into the clinch.

West breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
West throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mac changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. West tries to avoid it but Mac manages to keep hold of a leg and drag West to the ground. West escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mac throws a left and a right that both miss
and West counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
West tries to clinch but Mac is having none of it.
Mac stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mac wants it to stay on the feet.
