The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pollendina digs a good hook to Sackett's body.

A nice combination there by Pollendina.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sackett.
Sackett takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Pollendina walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pollendina shoots in looking for a takedown. Sackett tries to sprawl out of it but Pollendina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sackett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sackett's corner calls for a 1-2. Sackett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pollendina lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pollendina.

Pollendina closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pollendina misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sackett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pollendina wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pollendina scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sackett to see if he's OK.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This one could be over very soon! Sackett goes limp - he's gone! Pollendina jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Charalabous throws a lazy right hand but Lawson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lawson scores with a sloppy right hand. Charalabous should have avoided that one.
Lawson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Charalabous explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Charalabous clobbers Lawson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Charalabous throws a sloppy head kick and Lawson moves out of range easily.
