The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hanneman does no damage.

Horrible takedown by Goive or perhaps it was just good defense by Hanneman which made him look bad.

Goive closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Goive lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hanneman has hold of Goive's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Goive manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hanneman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Goive can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Perimental crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Paighn - the referee stops the clock and Perimental gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Paighn. Perimental manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oh Perimental is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Paighn is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Perimental is defending well for now.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dimisco, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivera closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pierre has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rivera avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Rivera is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pierre is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rivera to the mat. Rivera regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Rivera looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pierre tries to free his leg and advance position but Rivera is retaining full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Rivera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pierre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pierre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivera pulls Pierre in close to prevent any damage.

Rivera is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Pierre has his hands clasped together but Rivera extends an breaks Pierre's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rivera.

Htaike thuds his right hand into Henry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
