El looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
El is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
El is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
El thows a huge punch but Brown dodges it nicely.

El throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Brown is trying to maintain the position but El is very close to passing his half guard.
Brown is looking for a sweep. El is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. El lands a nice short elbow.

El trying to control but Brown is having none of it.

It looks like Marshal Brown has been cut.
El working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
El controlling the pace for now.
El is in the full mount, landing strikes.
El lands a heavy elbow.

Marshal Brown's cut is getting worse.
El landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble!
El loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Brown scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from El land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. El stands and salutes the crowd.

After winning the bout, Jo El thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
