Baleta closes the distance and clinches up with Payne, looking for a takedown. Baleta pushes Payne against the cage but Payne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Payne fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Baleta avoids it really well and circles away.
Baleta throws a right and a left that both miss.

Baleta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Payne smiles and moves away.

Payne throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Baleta was covering up waiting for the punch and Payne finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Baleta wants to stand and escape but Payne is having none of it.

Baleta looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Payne passes into side control.

Payne has hold of Baleta's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Baleta tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Payne cranks the arm and Baleta screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Baleta, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estima shoots in looking for a takedown. Zhukov tries to sprawl out of it but Estima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zhukov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zhukov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
