After initially coming in at 187.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Machin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Machin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Machin throws a big shot that misses.
Machin lands an overhand right.
Thunstrom takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Machin lands a left and a right that send Thunstrom crashing to the mat, dazed. Machin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Thunstrom is rocked!

It looks like Lars Thunstrom has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Thunstrom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thunstrom walks straight into a right hand from Machin - that's dropped him! Machin jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thunstrom from any more punishment! Thunstrom complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
