The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to score a power double leg takedown but McCall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thomas somewhat.
McCall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCall sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thomas moves into full mount! McCall won't be happy about that!
McCall in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. McCall turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Thomas off and cradles McCall's limp body as Thomas celebrates with his corner.

Blagov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fabiano sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Bullock has cracked Fernandes with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Bullock lands another huge swinging hook and Fernandes tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Fernandes, before Bullock can land any more shots!

Popo misses with the combination.
Sloan misses with a wild body shot.

Sloan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Popo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sloan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sloan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sloan moves into range and clinches up with Popo.
Popo goes for a takedown attempt but Sloan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
