Velka doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Matsumoto.
Matsumoto creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Ghost is not content to let Matsumoto control the position.
Matsumoto scoring with punches from side control.
Matsumoto looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ghost is avoiding damage well.
Ghost on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ghost is looking for a sweep.
Matsumoto throws an elbow but Ghost slips to the side and avoids it well.

Ghost throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Matsumoto closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ghost's guard.

Matsumoto is working Ghost over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Matsumoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ghost swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Matsumoto works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Matsumoto is working for a submission of some sort.
Ghost gets full guard.
Ghost preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ghost wants to sweep here but Matsumoto controlling him for the moment.

Matsumoto postures up.

Ghost has his foot on Matsumoto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Matsumoto works his way back into a safe position though.
Matsumoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Ghost is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matsumoto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Matsumoto content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ghost has locked up a guillotine! Ghost's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Matsumoto is holding on here and Ghost must be using up a lot of energy. Matsumoto has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ghost gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
