Russo closes the distance and clinches up with Maleko, looking for a takedown. Russo pushes Maleko against the cage but Maleko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vedran Russo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Russo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Klass cracks Minonzio with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Minonzio tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Klass pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Minonzio is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

After the fight, Matt Klass was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
