Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Weston Markson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Dickface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Markson comes to the cage accompanied by WHen your young. Mr Dickface told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markson closes the distance and clinches up with Dickface, looking for a takedown. Markson pushes Dickface against the cage but Dickface circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dickface lands a really nice looking cross but Markson seems unphased.

It looks like Weston Markson has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dickface has had enough of the clinch but Markson keeps him there for the moment.

Markson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dickface regains guard.

Markson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dickface is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Markson, into his guard.
Markson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dickface on the ground.
Markson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dickface has passed into side control.

Dickface looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Markson taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dickface wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markson keeps working.

Dickface has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Markson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Markson is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dickface cracks Markson with a big right hand but Markson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Dickface wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markson keeps working.

Dickface thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dickface has an Americana. Markson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dickface is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dickface hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Rutten swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kharitonov counters with an outside leg kick.
Kharitonov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Kharitonov forces Rutten back against the cage and clinches.
A bit of stalling here from Kharitonov.
Rutten with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kharitonov misses with a knee strike.
Kharitonov throws a punch but it's blocked by Rutten.
Kharitonov trying to land knees to the body.
Kharitonov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rutten is defending well for now.
Kharitonov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rutten.
Kharitonov lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rutten or not.
Kharitonov can't find room to land a body shot as Rutten controls the action.
Kharitonov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rutten avoids it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Rutten looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rutten throwing strikes but Kharitonov manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Rutten bucks up and tries to throw Kharitonov off but instead Kharitonov has got his back!

Rutten is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kharitonov.
Kharitonov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Filipovic comes to the cage accompanied by Duran duran - Wild Boys. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Bak just misses with a punch to the body.
Bak throws a lazy right hand but Filipovic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bak feints and as Filipovic raises his hands in defense, Bak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bak wants to control from the top but Filipovic keeps moving.

Bak drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bak jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Filipovic keeping moving, preventing Bak from controlling successfully.

Bak has gone for a leg lock! Filipovic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bak's guard.

Bak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Filipovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bak is tightening it up a little... Filipovic has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Filipovic reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Filipovic taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bak!

BOOM! Grymaunch lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gage. Gage tries to recover but Grymaunch is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gage lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
