The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Bonaparte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raiden's waist but Raiden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonaparte off to one side.

Bonaparte looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raiden is fending him off so far but Bonaparte persists. Nope, Raiden circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Quan Raiden will probably get the nod.

Shiv connects with a right that clearly hurt Takaya. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Shiv proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Takaya collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Piper throws a head kick but Chen moves out of range.
Piper dives in and grabs Chen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chen pushes down on Piper's head and hops out.
Chen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Piper keeps the fight on the outside.
Chen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Piper throws out the jab.

Chen drives through and clinches with Piper against the cage.
Chen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Chen lands an elbow inside.

Piper has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Chen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Taj al Din!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as al Din checks a leg kick.
Sackett buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sackett shoots in looking for a takedown. al Din tries to sprawl out of it but Sackett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. al Din manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sackett throws a leg kick that is checked
and al Din counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
al Din tried to score with a low kick but Sackett checks it.
Sackett throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sackett shoots for a double leg takedown but al Din sprawls well. He's pushed Sackett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
al Din keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sackett.
A clash of legs there as al Din blocks the low kick.
Yance Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sackett fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yance Sackett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sackett tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. al Din manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sackett shoots in but al Din avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and al Din makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
al Din takes a swing at Sackett's ribcage but misses.
al Din looks to score with a jab to the body but Sackett is just out of range.
Sackett takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Yance Sackett has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
al Din dodges the punch combination from Sackett.
Sackett missing with a left hand there. al Din was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sackett fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. al Din looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sackett misses with a hook
and al Din cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sackett connects with a body shot that sends al Din's belly button to the back.
Sackett attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
al Din is looking to score with low kicks.
al Din changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Taj al Din is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from al Din - that will leave a mark!
Sackett is breathing heavily.
al Din connects with a solid leg kick.

al Din misses with a two punch combination.
al Din connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Sackett takes one on the button.
al Din throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
al Din drops Sackett with a big left hand! Sackett is injured, injured bad! al Din jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
