The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says King as he avoids it easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by King!

It looks like William Huff has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Huff throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huff off to one side.
King lands with a hook. Huff tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
King throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Huff's jaw, knocking him onto his back! King dives in looking to finish as Huff flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block King's strikes! King is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Huff's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Huff was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Young on that attempt.
Young dodges the punch combination from King.
King goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Young ducks down and throws a hook to the body but King moves away.
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
King thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Young if he has to take too many more of those.

Young changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Young manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
King has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from King there as he acknowledges the shot.

Young throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

King gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Young won't allow King to sweep him here.
Young stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Young must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Young seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

King throws a lazy right hand but Young sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

King doesn't manage to clinch there - Young circles away.
