The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Naza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Naza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Naza must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Oh but Mousaki is tightening it up a little... Naza has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Naza reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Naza taps out! nice BJJ there by Mousaki!

Tarsun drops his hands momentarily and Ng takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Tarsun finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ng takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ng avoids the head kick by Tarsun.
Ng connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ng stalks Tarsun and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tarsun's face. Tarsun staggers backwards, shaken.
Ng scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ng ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ng is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tarsun gets his way!

I think Ermirio de Moraes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 'Vai Explodir' by Pregador Luo. McDonald is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kanye West - Stronger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
