The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yuy has Pihl up against the cage in a clinch.
Pihl looking for a takedown.
Pihl goes for a takedown in the clinch but Yuy prevents it.
Pihl putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Yuy in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Yuy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pihl has him pressed against the cage.
Yuy can't break the clinch.

Pihl escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yuy misses with a two punch combination.
Yuy keeps the fight on the outside.

Pihl's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pihl walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Pihl shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yuy sprawls well. Yuy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pihl gets slowly back to his feet.
Yuy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pihl circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pihl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Yuy tries to bum rush Pihl with a series of wild strikes but Pihl uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yuy throws a sloppy head kick and Pihl moves out of range easily.

Yuy throws a right hand that Pihl ducks under and follows up with a left that Pihl also avoids with ease.

Yuy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Pihl is refusing to be controlled, as Yuy sits in half guard.

Pihl has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yuy is working away from the top position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Yuy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pihl's head.
Yuy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yuy connects with a nice short shot to Pihl's temple.
Pihl is trying to control but Yuy manages to pass to mount!

Heero Yuy spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Gambler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tweedy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tweedy avoids the body shot from Gambler.
Gambler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gambler duly obliges.

It looks like Ben Tweedy has been cut.
Gambler misses the shot to the body.

so Breaksiron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Breaksiron wants to control from the top but Foran keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Breaksiron's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Polo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drakodyak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Polo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Polo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drakodyak is one step ahead there.

Drakodyak has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Polo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Drakodyak is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Polo pulls down on the head and he's put Drakodyak to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flanders fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lickertwat has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lickertwat shoots for a takedown but Flanders saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lickertwat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lickertwat here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Flanders slips a straight right by Lickertwat.
Flanders uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lickertwat.

Lickertwat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to AL Lickertwat.
I think Lickertwat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
