The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilden avoids the head kick by Matic.
Matic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Matic scores with a head kick. Gilden tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Matic pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Matic clinches with his opponent.
Matic tries to stall but Gilden uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Matic.
Gilden tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Gilden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Matic avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gilden drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matic pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gilden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matic pinned against the cage. Matic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Josh Matic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Gilden.
Gilden shoots for a double leg takedown but Matic sprawls well. He's pushed Gilden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Matic lands a big head kick that sends Gilden tumbling to the mat! Matic takes a step backwards and waves Gilden back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Adams throws a right hand that Slayton ducks under and follows up with a left that Slayton also avoids with ease.
Adams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Slayton ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Slayton throws a looping overhand right but Adams ducks down to avoid it.
Slayton throws out a powerful jab.
Adams takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McCartney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCartney off to one side.

Well Montoya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
