The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnetta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Connolly tries to avoid it but Barnetta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Connolly to the ground. Connolly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Patrick Connolly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barnetta has managed to clinch.
Connolly landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Barnetta manages to pull guard.

Barnetta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Connolly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Connolly gets to his feet - Barnetta follows without any prompting.
Barnetta fails to land the takedown.
Barnetta fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frederico Barnetta. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Connolly rushes Barnetta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Barnetta is pressed up against the cage. Connolly has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barnetta down to the mat. Barnetta avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Barnetta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connolly but Connolly pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Connolly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnetta pinned against the cage. Barnetta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Connolly pulls Barnetta in close to prevent any damage.

Oh Barnetta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick by Connolly - that's a beauty! Barnetta is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Connolly can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cain Castillo will probably get the nod.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Igor Voganoff comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Voganoff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hossa pivots and extends the arm, Poppins falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Hossa! Well done that man!
