Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daley Bornstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mueller kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is RED. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bornstein's choice of entrance music: Men at Work - Land Down Under. Both these guys have really solid chins. Payne shoots in looking for a takedown. McKay tries to sprawl out of it but Payne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McKay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Payne is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Payne closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McKay's guard.
Payne is fighting to break McKay's control of his arms but McKay is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

McKay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam McKay.

and Payne counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McKay throws out a loose jab but Payne uses good head movement to avoid it.
Payne throws a shot from downtown. McKay moves away and avoids it.
Nice jab there from McKay.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sam McKay.
Well McKay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
