The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes misses with a few strikes there.
Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Hopachai.
Barnes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hopachai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barnes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hopachai on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hopachai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barnes.
Barnes throws a shot to the body.
Barnes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hopachai.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barnes throws a hook to the side of Hopachai's head but Hopachai sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Barnes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hopachai circles away quickly and effectively.
Barnes lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Aphachai Hopachai has been cut.
Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Hopachai's belly button to the back.
Hopachai is breathing heavily.

Barnes lands a left and a right that send Hopachai crashing to the mat, dazed. Barnes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Barnes misses with an uppercut. Hopachai saw that one coming.
Hopachai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barnes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Barnes throws a right hand that Hopachai ducks under and follows up with a left that Hopachai also avoids with ease.

Hopachai tries to move into range but Barnes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barnes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Barnes is leaning against Hopachai and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Barnes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hopachai's sensitive parts.
Barnes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hopachai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Hopachai.

Barnes lands the left hand.
Hopachai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Barnes sends Hopachai crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Barnes is motioning to the referee to let Hopachai up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hopachai doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnes circles away.
Oh Hopachai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnes walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hopachai drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Barnes swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hopachai's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Winchester closes the distance and clinches.
Winchester is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Claw is defending well for now.
With the fighters up against the cage, Winchester throws an elbow but misses.
Winchester tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Claw avoids it.

Claw lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Winchester is looking for a sweep. Claw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Winchester is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Claw pulls his head out easily.

Claw seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Winchester is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee throws an off balance right hand

and Murphy counters with a single leg into guard. Dee didn't expect that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Dee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Murphy defends well.

Dee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Murphy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dee doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murphy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dee wants to stand and escape but Murphy is having none of it.

Dee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Murphy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dee keeps working.
Well, if Murphy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Murphy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perseus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Drake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McLovin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McLovin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drake tries to avoid it but McLovin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drake to the ground. Drake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Drake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McLovin.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John McLovin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circling - McLovin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McLovin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drake's waist but Drake gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McLovin off to one side.
