The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley leaves Mai with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Marley looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mai with a poor takedown

and Marley counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mai's guard now.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mai has his foot on Marley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marley works his way back into a safe position though.

Mai has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Marley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marley controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mai tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mai throws his legs up looking for a submission but Marley uses it to pass to side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marley tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Marley tries for a kimura but Mai is defending well.
Mai tries to bench press Marley off him but Marley keeps the position.
Marley trying to control the position but Mai is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mai is trying to get back to his feet.

Marley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mai gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Herbert falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tibbs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Herbert tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tibbs was well out of range. Poor timing from Herbert.
The fighters circling - Herbert throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tibbs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Herbert misses with a series of wild punches.
Tibbs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Herbert throws a hook to the side of Tibbs's head but Tibbs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Herbert throws a series of punches but Tibbs moves out of range.

Tibbs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tibbs connects with a right hand. Herbert shakes it off.
Oh Herbert is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tibbs lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Herbert can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Tibbs and Herbert drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Tibbs.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jeremy throws a right hand that Marvin ducks under and follows up with a left that Marvin also avoids with ease.
