The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bolda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bolda drops his hands momentarily and Santoro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Santoro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santoro lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Frendi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Foo lands with a hook. Frendi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Frendi takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Foo throws a jab when Frendi was well out of range.
Foo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Frendi lands an elbow inside.

Foo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Frendi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Foo cracks Frendi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Foo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Frendi to stand back up!

Oh Frendi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Foo pounces like a tiger and cracks Frendi with a vicious hook! Frendi is down but not out! Foo follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Incubus Foo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
