Goniwiecha fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Operhalski checks it well.

Goniwiecha closes the distance and pushes Operhalski back into the cage.

Operhalski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goniwiecha pinned against the cage. Goniwiecha gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Goniwiecha works the jab nicely.

It looks like Karol Operhalski has been cut.

Dawid Goniwiecha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Operhalski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Operhalski there as he acknowledges the shot.

Operhalski gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Operhalski tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Goniwiecha is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Operhalski buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Operhalski!! Operhalski is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Goniwiecha throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombard throws out a loose jab but Bowman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bowman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bombard.
Bowman takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bowman takes the fight into the clinch.
Bombard misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bombard throws a punch but it's blocked by Bowman.
Bowman lands a hook that snaps the head of Bombard backwards.
Bowman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bowman tries a body shot but Bombard blocks it.
Bombard can't find room to land a body shot as Bowman controls the action.
Bombard misses with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bowman.
Bowman swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bombard misses with a punch to the body.

Bowman gets control of Bombard's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bowman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bombard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bowman is proving hard to escape from.
Bombard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bowman on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bowman thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Bowman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bombard postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bombard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bowman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bombard has managed to get both his arms back between Bowman's legs - danger averted.

Bowman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bowman wants to get back to his feet but Bombard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bowman has his foot on Bombard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bombard works his way back into a safe position though.

Bowman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bombard is aware though and is defending well.

Bowman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bombard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bowman has his feet on Bombard's thighs here. He's pushed Bombard off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Bombard screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
