The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robinson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brystov sprawls well initially but Robinson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brystov tries to get to full guard but Robinson has control of the leg.
Brystov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Robinson lands a nice short elbow.
Robinson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wallace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bhuda circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wallace.
Bhuda throws a sloppy head kick and Wallace moves out of range easily.

and Bhuda counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Wallace out cold! What a finish! Bhuda is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Nir fails with the takedown
and Zufall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Frank Nir has been cut.

Nir closes the distance and clinches up with Zufall, looking for a takedown. Nir pushes Zufall against the cage but Zufall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nir's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zufall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nir scrambles back to his feet.

Hellwig has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ali can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bratts, right into the meat.
Bratts walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Barnes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bratts.

Pacman Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bratts drops Barnes with a beautiful combination! Barnes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bratts is looking for the KO!

Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bratts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Barnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bratts throws an overhand right that drops Barnes like a sack of potatoes! Bratts dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Good leg kick by Schmitt there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A combination from Schmitt does no damage.
Schmitt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schmitt wants it to stay on the feet.
St Pierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Schmitt to counter with a crisp jab.
Schmitt takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Schmitt throws the kick towards the body but St Pierre avoids it.

St Pierre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

St Pierre decides to stand back up. St Pierre steps back and let's Schmitt get back to his feet.

and Schmitt counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

St Pierre with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Schmitt to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No joy there for Schmitt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Schmitt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

St Pierre takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Schmitt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
