Furzon tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Hamilton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hamilton.
Furzon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hamilton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Furzon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hamilton to the mat. Hamilton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Furzon sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Hamilton doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Furzon paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Hamilton - great work!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luke Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Keough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke Couture had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. James Keough will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ray Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt moves into range and connects with a jab.

Machine closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hunt's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Machine jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hunt is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hunt and Machine has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Machine has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Machine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunt stalling away here and it's allowed Machine to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Hunt has gone for a leg lock! Machine slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hunt's guard.

Hunt has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Machine should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hunt has tightened it up now! Machine should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

and Pagliera counters with a shoot takedown. Hunt fights it but they end up in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Hunt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pagliera's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pagliera's back!

Hunt has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pagliera has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Kanoa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Quick shoots in looking for a takedown. Bratts tries to sprawl out of it but Quick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bratts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Quick drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Quick checks a leg kick.

Bratts lands a left and a right that send Quick crashing to the mat, dazed. Bratts thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
