The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. YaYa eats them both and turns towards Blackwell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
YaYa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Blackwell drops YaYa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but YaYa looks back up at him and smiles so Blackwell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

YaYa is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chu stuffs the takedown attempt from Rpin. Rpin gets slowly back to his feet.
Chu thuds his shin into the meat of Rpin's side.
Nice uppercut lands for Chu. That snapped Rpin's head back.
Chu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Rpin gets tackled into the cage by Chu. Chu maintains the clinch.

A right hook to the body lands for Chu.
Chu pushes Rpin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Chu lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Rpin looks gassed!
Rpin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chu avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Chu digs a right hand into Rpin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rpin's gas tank.
Chu throws a big uppercut that drops Rpin! More strikes from Chu and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rpin lies dazed against the cage as Chu celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Chu!
Tony Chu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Drexler walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Van Dam checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Van Dam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Drexler.
Van Dam lands with a straight right. Drexler didn't see that one coming.

Van Dam shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Van Dam was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Van Dam takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Greco fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Superieur looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Superieur throws a shot from downtown. Greco moves away and avoids it.
Superieur missing with a left hand there. Greco was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Oooooh!!! Greco has knocked Superieur down with a huge combo! Greco steps away and waves a wobbly Superieur back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Imperat Superieur has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Greco throws a head kick but Superieur moves out of range.
Superieur is still on wobbly legs! Can Greco finish him?
Superieur throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Greco counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Superieur to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Greco!

Dillard feints a jab promting Avelar to slip. Dillard then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Avelar slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Avelar lands with a right hand.
Dillard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Avelar but Avelar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dillard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dillard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Avelar was covering up waiting for the punch and Dillard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Avelar wants to sweep here but Dillard controlling him for the moment.
Dillard looking to pass the guard.
Avelar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dillard is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillard sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Avelar's guard.
Dillard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Avelar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Dillard is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Avelar is working to get back to half guard.

Dillard quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Dillard but it's paid off an Avelar is forced to tap! Nice work by Dillard.
