Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otaku Senzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Traktor Chain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senzuri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tori Amos-Code Red . Otaku Senzuri had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Traktor Chain is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Otaku Senzuri.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junior Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Harkonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolfe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Ramones - Blitzkreig Bop!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Wolfe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harkonnen pinned against the cage. Harkonnen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Alexandrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phil Paighn!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paighn throws a chopping leg kick but Alexandrov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Alexandrov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Paighn throws a sloppy head kick and Alexandrov moves out of range easily.
Paighn throws a push kick but Alexandrov slaps the foot to one side.
Alexandrov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Paighn. Paighn obviously looking to wear him down.
Paighn tries to clinch but Alexandrov is having none of it.
Paighn tries to move into range but Alexandrov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Paighn stuffs the takedown.
Alexandrov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alexandrov shoots in and bounces Paighn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Alexandrov throws a big elbow that misses.
Alexandrov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Alexandrov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Alexandrov trying to control the position from guard on top but Paighn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alexandrov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Paighn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Alexandrov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Paighn's guard.

Alexandrov not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Alexandrov looks to land a strike but Paighn avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Paighn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexandrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alexandrov is looking to work some ground and pound but Paighn has wrist control.
Alexandrov postures up in Paighn's guard and throws a big left but Paighn blocks it.
Paighn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alexandrov's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alexandrov controls Paighn momentarily but Paighn frees himself.
Alexandrov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paighn is one step ahead there.
Alexandrov is trying to keep Paighn in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alexandrov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alexandrov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Paighn is just riding it out for now. Alexandrov eventually gives up the hold.

Paighn tries to get to full guard but Alexandrov has control of the leg.

Alexandrov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Alexandrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Paighn is looking to improve his position.
Alexandrov tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Alexandrov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alexandrov throwing strikes here but Paighn is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alexandrov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Alexandrov shoots for a double leg takedown but Paighn sprawls well. He's pushed Alexandrov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Paighn lands with a kick to the temple. Alexandrov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Alexandrov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alexandrov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paighn sprawls well. Paighn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alexandrov gets slowly back to his feet.
Fedor Alexandrov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Alexandrov dives in and scores a takedown into Paighn's guard.
Alexandrov throws a big right hand that misses.
Paighn is trying to keep Alexandrov in close.
Paighn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alexandrov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Paighn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Paighn trying to hold on to Alexandrov's head to control him but Alexandrov postures up.

Paighn is defending against the submission attempts here by Alexandrov.
Alexandrov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Alexandrov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Paighn is surviving well by controlling Alexandrov's body position as best he can.
Alexandrov thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Paighn holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Alexandrov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Paighn blocking the ground and pound.
Alexandrov wants to control the pace but Paighn is squirming around nicely.

Paighn working to try and regain half guard.
Paighn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Paighn wants to control but Alexandrov is having none of it.
Alexandrov with a couple of short strikes.
Alexandrov lands a big shot there that rocks Paighn but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
