The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez shoots for a double leg takedown but Alvez sprawls well. He's pushed Gutierrez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alvez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gutierrez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alvez closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gutierrez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Alvez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Gutierrez shoots in but no luck this time.
Gutierrez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
