The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a takedown
and Steele makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Steele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Steele counters with a left to the body.

and Steele counters with a three punch combo that has Brown backing up. Brown nods at Steele to acknowledge the strikes.

Cornish kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Came To Play by Step Zero. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gwyn Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Angel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Friedricksen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Friedricksen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoue avoids the body shot from Kruty.
Kruty lands a jab to Inoue's midsection.
Kruty takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Inoue scores with a nice head shot.
Kruty lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Inoue fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Inoue goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kruty throws a shot from downtown. Inoue moves away and avoids it.
Kruty ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Inoue moves away.
Kruty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Inoue.
Yuya Inoue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Inoue closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Inoue lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Inoue is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Inoue drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Inoue as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kruty screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Inoue! Nice submission victory there!

Yuya Inoue decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cekada connects with a solid leg kick.
Cekada goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Cekada feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gages jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gage throws the kick towards the body but Cekada avoids it.
Gage swinging wildly here.
Gage slips a jab and a cross from Cekada.
A combination from Gage does no damage.
Gage moves out of range of the strikes.
Gage ducks right into an uppercut from Cekada.
Cekada misses with a kick to the body.
Gage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cekada.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gage is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy left from Cekada finds it's target.
Gage misses with a series of wild punches.
Cekada is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Gage looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cekada throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gage's waist but Gage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cekada off to one side.
Gage throws a nice looking combination but Cekada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gage avoids the head kick by Cekada.
Cekada fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gage has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gage throws a right and a left that Cekada avoids nicely.
A left lands for Cekada.
Gage fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gage throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Cekada counters with a leg kick.
Gage looks to land a combination but Cekada avoids it well.
Cekada uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gage.
Cekada thows a body shot but no joy.
Cekada ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Boris Cekada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cekada is looking to clinch.
Gage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cekada.
Gage swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cekada counters with a good low kick that Gage was not able to check.
Cekada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gage.
Gage fails to land with a series of punches.
Gage will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cekada changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Check out the look on Cekada's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Cekada lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gage down.
Gage defending against the ground and pound.
Cekada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cekada wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gage, who protects the arm well.
Cekada lands an elbow.
Cekada in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Cekada lands a nice forearm strike.
Cekada is looking to take a break and control but Gage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cekada postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
