The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brody quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hunter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hunter content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunter works his way into side control.

Brody is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Hunter is working to tighten is grip on Brody's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Brody has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hunter is really squeezing tight and eventually Brody passes out! Hunter breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Logan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Great One to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Logan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Great One. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Logan has momentary wrist control but The Great One slips an elbow through the middle.

Earp lands a hook that snaps the head of Lane backwards.
Lane jumps guard but Earp turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Earp has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lane regains guard immediately.

Earp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

David is looking to get back to his feet here but Estep is keeping cool and he's managed to take David's back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sizemore seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Blankenship for as long as he can get away with.

Blankenship takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sizemore shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sizemore was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sizemore fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sizemore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blankenship can do to turn this around?
