The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neer misses with a looping left.
Lapik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Neer but Neer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A swing and a miss from Neer.
Lapik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Neer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lapik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Neer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lapik closes this distance looking for a takedown but Neer circles away.

Neer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Neer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Neer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lapik turns into him and now he's in Neer's guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir with a lazy takedown attempt

and Noir counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mir's guard now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mir keeping moving, preventing Noir from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noir stops Mir from standing up.

Ezio Noir has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Mir looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Noir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mir seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Mir thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Noir's head.
Noir has hold of Mir's hands but Mir slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bute throws a right and a left that Handysnacks avoids nicely.
Handysnacks misses with a head kick.
Bute tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Handysnacks lands a big head kick that sends Bute tumbling to the mat! Handysnacks takes a step backwards and waves Bute back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Lucian Bute has been cut.

Oh Bute is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Handysnacks tries to clinch but Bute is having none of it.

Tavares pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Anderson taps out and this one is all over!

Well Foster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
