Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Myron Obusan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obusan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Frontlines by Diabolic feat. Immortal Technique. Fields has chosen The Beast in Me - Johnny Cash as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Myron Obusan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Myron Obusan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fields checks a leg kick nicely.
Fields cracks Obusan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fields scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Obusan is looking to score with low kicks.

Shawn Fields seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fields shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Obusan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fields tries to move to mount but Obusan blocks the move with his legs.
Obusan bucks up and tries to throw Fields off but instead Fields has got his back!
Fields is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Obusan. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fields is looking for the choke from the back position but Obusan is controlling his hands well.
Obusan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Fields.
Fields is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Fields slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Obusan is covering up but some of the strikes from Fields are getting through and doing damage.
Fields controlling the position well here. Obusan rolled but Fields kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Fields lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Obusan.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fields is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Fields has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like Fields might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Fields is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Fields gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Fields gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Fields apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Obusan is rocked!
Fields drops Obusan with a naaaaasty hook - Obusan is in real trouble here! Fields dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

That was a close round but I would say that The Jackel will probably get the nod.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Williams throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jackel blocks it with crossed arms.

Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Boom swings wildly with an uppercut but Neuer uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Neuer in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michal Archaniol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gaspar Saroa!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saroa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Archaniol gets full guard.
Saroa lands a couple of elbows.
Saroa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Archaniol's guard.

Saroa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Saroa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Archaniol does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Saroa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Saroa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Saroa wants to pass the guard but Archaniol is keeping the position.
Archaniol knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saroa on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Saroa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Saroa cracks Archaniol with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Saroa immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Archaniol is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Saroa!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gaspar Saroa!
A less than humble Gaspar Saroa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
