The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saymon takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bone throws a wild body kick that Saymon sees coming a mile off.
Bone tries to clinch there but Saymon circles away.
Saymon tries to close the distance and clinch but Bone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Bone tries to sprawl but Saymon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bone tries to get to full guard but Saymon has control of the leg.
Saymon is pressing down on Bone's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bone is holding on for now.

Saymon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bone is just riding it out for now. Saymon eventually gives up the hold.

Slamen jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troy Slamen! Troy Slamen retains his lightweight title!
After winning the bout, Troy Slamen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
