The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lockyer gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Prime throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Lockyer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lockyer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lockyer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Prime is surviving well by controlling Lockyer's body position as best he can.
Prime wants to control but Lockyer is having none of it.
Prime is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Lockyer throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Prime because Lockyer loaded up on that one.

Prime drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lockyer dives on top into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lockyer has control of Prime's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Prime regains control of the situation pretty easily.
