Wukong looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Raith!

Lawrence cracks Austin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lawrence lands with an overhand left.

Austin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Austin dives in and scores a takedown into Lawrence 's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lawrence pushes Austin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Austin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawrence swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Austin distracts Lawrence with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lawrence is looking to stand up but Austin isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Lazar Nimirov will probably get the nod.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalenko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kovalenko pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mitchell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kovalenko throws a series of strikes that have Mitchell backpedaling.

It looks like Tony Mitchell has been cut.
Mitchell just misses with a punch to the body.
Mitchell looks to throw the jab but Kovalenko is out of range.
Mitchell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kovalenko counters with a nice uppercut.
Kovalenko misses with a body shot.
Kovalenko thows a body shot but no joy.
Kovalenko ducks under a wild hook from Mitchell.
Mitchell has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mitchell there as he acknowledges the shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mitchell throws a hook to the side of Kovalenko's head but Kovalenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mitchell takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mitchell throws the left hand but Kovalenko avoids the punch easily.
Mitchell throws out a loose jab but Kovalenko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kovalenko thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kovalenko misses with a straight right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kovalenko tries a head kick but it misses.
Kovalenko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mitchell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kovalenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Mitchell's head.
Kovalenko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Kovalenko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big left from Kovalenko misses.
Kovalenko throws a combination that misses
and Mitchell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mitchell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kovalenko manages to avoid it.
Kovalenko looks to land a left hand but Mitchell moved out of range nicely.
Kovalenko is looking to land body kicks.
Kovalenko throws a right hand that misses

and Mitchell counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kovalenko! Mitchell lets Kovalenko back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Kovalenko is rocked!
Kovalenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oh Kovalenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kovalenko closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kovalenko seems to have got his legs back now.
Mitchell fakes the body blow, causing Kovalenko to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Kovalenko goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Mitchell!
A relieved looking Tony Mitchell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
