The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Pfeife, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meesters takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Meesters tries to close the distance and clinch but Pfeife swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pfeife connects with a good right hand that stumbles Meesters. Meesters circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Meesters shoots in looking for a takedown. Pfeife tries to sprawl out of it but Meesters keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pfeife manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pfeife shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Meesters eats them both and turns towards Pfeife to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Saito Shinji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dude Love (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Love comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Imagine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dude Love struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Saito Shinji could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dude Love's chin.
