Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Jones Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones Jr's entrance music is Unstoppable - Roy Jones Jr.. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bones Aldo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Roy Jones Jr has been cut.
Aldo connects with a body shot that sends Jones Jr's belly button to the back.
Aldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jones Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aldo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones Jr has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Aldo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jones Jr has tightened it up now! Aldo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

and Russo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bhuvanath leaves Russo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Russo shoots in but Bhuvanath avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bhuvanath shoots in looking for a takedown. Russo tries to sprawl out of it but Bhuvanath keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Russo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Vedran Russo will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Russo or perhaps it was just good defense by Bhuvanath which made him look bad.
Russo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bhuvanath sprawls well. Bhuvanath wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Russo gets slowly back to his feet.

Rage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gochoco. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Gochoco takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gochoco crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rage - the referee stops the clock and Gochoco gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rage. Gochoco manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Gochoco dives in and grabs Rage's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rage pushes down on Gochoco's head and hops out.
Rage punishes Gochoco's body with a nice straight punch.
Rage digs a good body shot into Gochoco's ribs.
An inside leg kick lands from Rage.
Rage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Rage makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Rage connects with a single shot there.
Rage swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sloppy strikes from Rage. Those never looked like landing.
Gochoco is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
