The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barao connects with a solid leg kick.
Pylse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pylse throws a head kick that misses.
Pylse circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pylse keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barao lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Barao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pylse paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A head kick from Barao lands but Pylse takes it in his stride.

It looks like Laban Pylse has been cut.

Oh Pylse is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barao lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Pylse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barao has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Pylse - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Barao, and another! Pylse is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Renan Barao decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Souza is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lightening is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lightening flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Souza anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lightening and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Souza slips an arm under Lightening chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Souza has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Souza is squeezing on Lightening like an anaconda would it's prey. Lightening fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sydal throws an elbow but Silva slips to the side and avoids it well.
Silva manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Silva is looking to advance position but Sydal won't allow it.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sydal keeps working.
