The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bender is defended easily by Sons.
Bender wants to clinch up but Sons keeps it at a distance.
Sons dives in and grabs Bender's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bender pushes down on Sons's head and hops out.
Bender swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Bender as Sons shoots in.
Bender goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bender enables Sons to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bender manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sons connects with a couple of short punches.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mango has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Mango's legs - danger averted.
Mango really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Santos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
