The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hall moves away.

Hall shoots in and bounces Diaz off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

After the fight, Nick Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

I think Jennsensen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Florence and the Machine - You've Got the Love. Singh comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Game- Motorhead kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sher Singh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mendez jabs Roza right on the nose. Roza blinks but takes it well.
Mendez throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Roza's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mendez dives in looking to finish as Roza flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mendez's strikes! Mendez is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Roza's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Roza was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
